HIAP - Helsinki International Artist-in-residence Programme is one of the first and most important international residency centers in Finland. Each year between 10-15 visual artists, dancers, choreographers, curators and researchers from around the world are offered a working period of 2-3 months in the program. The main purpose of HIAP is to foster cultural interaction between Finnish and international art professionals by providing an opportunity for creative work and research in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. HIAP is located at the Cable Factory cultural complex close to the center of Helsinki. HIAP is a member of the RES ARTIS - International Association of Residential Arts Centers.
